We had an opportunity to travel a portion of the Oregon Trail on our way to Jackson Hole, Yellowstone, Deadwood and Mount Rushmore. The designated stops along the trail provide a tremendous amount of information.
Originally our trip was to Yellowstone then Cody and Mount Rushmore. However, we discovered prior to departure that we could breakup the long drive to Jackson Hole by traveling and incorporating stops along the Oregon Trail. Best decision we could have made- West on 80 instead of interstate 70.
